At Il Regalo, we believe that music is at its most powerful when it brings people together.

That's why we're proud to create events that go beyond retail—transforming our concept store into a place where artists, creatives and music lovers can meet, learn and be inspired.

In April 2025, that vision came to life during a special two-part collaboration organised by Gentwoman, founded by Il Regalo's owner Raika.

From the Stage to the Classroom

The first event took place at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where members of Usher's touring band hosted an exclusive masterclass for music students and aspiring musicians.

Led by Melvin Jones, together with Wilbert Williams and Mike Burton, the session gave attendees a rare opportunity to learn directly from musicians performing on one of the world's biggest stages. Their insights into musicianship, touring and the realities of the music industry made for an inspiring afternoon filled with knowledge and connection.

An Intimate Performance at Il Regalo

A few days later, the experience continued at Il Regalo in Rotterdam.

Our store became the setting for an intimate live performance featuring members of Usher's touring band, including Melvin Jones, Wilbert Williams, Mike Burton, Keithen Foster, Erick Walls, CJ Thompson and Darek Cobbs.

Instead of a large concert venue, guests experienced world-class musicians just a few metres away, surrounded by books, vinyl records, gifts and carefully curated interiors. The result was an atmosphere that felt personal, welcoming and unforgettable.

It wasn't simply about watching incredible musicians perform, it was about sharing music in a space designed for conversation, creativity and genuine connection.
